Additionally, if your home has any waterfront areas or if you have any wetlands on your property, you may find that you have to keep your home and any other construction well away from the edge of the water and the wetlands.

Additionally, you should look into the cost of adding infrastructure if the vacant piece of land that you are considering is located in a remote area. In such a situation, you may find that the property itself does not have access to a road or any of the standard utilities.

This is very important because this could mean that you are not able to actually build on that property, you may be restricted as to what kind of use the property can be put to, or you may have to spend a lot of money to clean up the environment before you can actually use the land.
