While you may love the sound of airplanes on certain occasions, you may not want to hear them every day. Even if an airport is more than a few miles away from the homes you are looking at, you will want to pay attention to the standard path that airplanes take before landing. This way, you can make sure you do not consider putting offers in on houses along these flying paths.
